Hi, I’m Rachel.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC-MHSP), speaker, teacher, and most recently, a mother. I hold two master’s degrees: one in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and another in Early Childhood Education. School, learning, and teaching are just a few of my favorite things. Currently, I work as a therapist at New Moon Rising Wellness, working with clients bravely recovering from disordered eating, eating disorders, anxiety/depression, trauma, and OCD.

I uniquely combine my various aspects of passion as a way to educate, counsel, write, and lead about the interconnectedness of trauma, the nervous system, diet culture, and eating disorders— all with a mission to end the stigma around mental health and help people live fuller, more present, values-driven lives. I’m an Atlanta native and have lived and worked in Nashville for the past 9 years with my husband, Coy.

I’m the author of a body image workbook (link to purchase here), a coffee enthusiast, and a lover of slow mornings and sourdough bread. I find deep comfort and inspiration in nature so when I’m not working, I’m likely on a trail somewhere, on a walk with my daughter, or daydreaming about visiting another national park.

Thank you for being here. I hope that my words - whether you’re reading them on my Substack, social media, or in a resource I’ve created - lead you back to your heart and into a deeper awareness of yourself. I hope you will join me in living a more embodied life. I hope you will join me in breaking the mental health stigma.

With heaps of gratitude and love,
